President of Republic Receives Polish Ambassador’s Credentials

On 26 July, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the credentials of HE Karwowski Krzysztof in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

The President of the Republic then received the Polish diplomat in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad.


Shortly after the meeting, the Polish Ambassador said he was happy and honored to have presented his credentials to the President of the Republic as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland.

He added that Mauritania and Poland had maintained good friendly relations for almost 60 years, based on mutual respect and understanding. He stressed that his country highly appreciates Mauritania's role as a stable and stabilizing country in the region.

Mr. Karwowski Krzysztof indicated that his country considers that Mauritania has significant potential in various fields and that it will work to ensure that it is put to good use in the framework of partnerships between Mauritanian and Polish private sectors. The meeting touched on ways to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
