President of Republic Receives Gambian Ambassador’s Credentials
Nouakchott, 26/07/2022 On 26 July, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the credentials of HE Mr. Sheikh Omar Faye in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of The Gambia to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.The President of the Republic subsequently received the Gambian diplomat in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad.
Shortly after the meeting, the Gambian Ambassador said he was honored to present his credentials to the President of the Republic and review the excellent relations between the two brotherly countries.
He added that the two countries' leaders are committed to strengthening the friendly ties between the two states that each host a resident community from the other and share the membership of many organizations.
